The province of Liège
The province of Liège is hospitable country. It also is a many facetted province, quite unique in
itself. Geographically, there are plains, vales and hills, rivers, a stream, and lakes. It's the green
tourist spot 'par excellence', ideal for hiking, walking and cycling expeditions. Historically, it
is a country of exchanges, as will soon be obvious from its varied architecture, toponymy and
verbal expression.
Industrial tourism in Mosan country points to the importance of the river for the area. The
province's cities are "human size" and delightfully welcoming. Its people have the reputation
of being wonderfully jovial. Rich in authenticity and breakaway places, the province of Liège
is well worth a lingering visit.
